Nearly everyone who is signing up seems to be using their real name; however there's still a few that are very obviously fake. Please folks, realise this: if you don't provide that information accurately now, and in 2 years time you are at the top of the leaderboard, if your real name does not match what you signed up as then you will not be eligible for the prize! This will be audited for the winner, and for progress prize winners. So please double-check now - if you made a mistake, or didn't consider this when entering, please contact us using the link on the site and let us know, and we'll update it for you. (Be sure to do this ASAP - if you wait, it might be too late!)
Also, please be very aware of the rule that you can only sign up once - again, please don't get yourself in a situation where you are not eligible to win a prize because in prize-winner auditing it turns out you've got a 2nd account! Don't risk it - there's lots of ways, both obvious and not-so-obvious, that multiple entries can be identified. With 2 years to analyse this data, there's no point risking being disqualified.
(The advisory board for this comp includes a Netflix prize winner, a 3-times KDD cup winner, a de-anonymization expert, and so forth - there's lot of real-world experience there in running and competiting in big comps, so they know all the tricks and how to spot them!)
