Anybody knows if there is a field description available?

Fields such as: Provider versus vendor, pcp, Year, specialty, paydelay, dsfs, PrimaryConditionGroup, CharlsonIndex.

The first step in decoding those is probably the "Tables" section of the Data set description at http://www.heritagehealthprize.com/c/hhp/Data.

It says (in part):

> b. Claims Table, which will include:

>     ii. ProviderID (the ID of the doctor or specialist providing the service)
>     iii. Vendor (the company that issues the bill)

>     v. Year (the year of the claim, Y1, Y2, Y3)

>     vii. PlaceSvc (place where the member was treated)
>     viii. PayDelay (the delay between the claim and the day the claim was paid for)
>     ix. LengthOfStay
>     x. DSFC (days since first claim made that year)
>     xi. PrimaryConditionGroup (a generalization of the primary diagnosis codes)
>     xii. CharlsonIndex (a generalization of the diagnosis codes in the form of a categorized comorbidity score)

"DSFC" seems to have become "dsfs" somewhere along the line.
