Can anyone please explain whether the "Generalized specialty" listed in Claims table is assocaited with "Charlson Index" or is it only of "Providers" specialty.

The reference material doesnt indicate clearly.

"Generalized specialty" is a categorizaton, by HPN/Kaggle, of the type of provider submitting the claim.

The only inputs to the computation of the Charlson Comorbidity Index are patient diagnosis codes, and the only outputs are 17 comorbidity flags (which we're not given) and the weighted score (which we see condensed into ranges of values.)
